Arithmo is the brainchild of Zoran Pavlovic - mathematician, contractor, professional musician, entrepreneur, philosopher, inventor, and a voracious student of games, game theory and game playing.

For a schoolboy in Belgrade, winter was a time for staying indoors after school with little much to do but watch state-sponsored television (a repetitious bore), read state-approved books (more of the same) or play games. Thanks to his parents, and to being intellectually and creatively inclined, Zoran chose music and games as his primary interests. He enjoyed traditional games with some of them hundreds of years old: card games, backgammon, dominos, chess and so on. In time, the young Pavlovic became a game expert in his own right - not only as an expert player of many different games, but a serious student of game theory and constructs, strategy, probability and logic.

Besides wanting to create a universal game platform, Mr. Pavlovic desired to also create a game that had all of the positive elements that typically attract people to games and puzzles. In his travels, he had encountered a lot of negatives associated with games and gaming: cheating, destructive gambling and the absolute win or loss aspect of games. If a player doesn't win, he or she is left with nothing. He noted that people tend to lose interest in particular games when they don't consistently win. Without mental stimulation and positive feedback, games become repetitive and boring. Mr. Pavlovic wanted a game that had something in between all or nothing; a game where players would experience mental stimulation and positive reinforcement and that would transcend the mere concept of win or lose and rise high above the norm - thus the seed for Arithmo was planted.

As Mr. Pavlovic frankly admits, the development and refinement of his dream game became an obsession that, since mid-2005, has required total commitment. Mr. Pavlovic dropped any major business plans in order to devote as much time as possible to validating and promoting the Arithmo Puzzles. He spent the next several years refining the Arithmo concept concentrating much of his time on testing and validating Arithmo.

Pavlovic's relentless testing of the Arithmo puzzles has demonstrated without question that Arithmo is truly a unique product. The puzzles are so diverse and assorted that you’ll never grow bored of the new challenges presented to you.

Nothing else can both educate you and challenge you the way Arithmo will, or train your brain to develop critical thinking and math skills while having so much fun. Arithmo can both relax and teach you. You'll simply love it, and you'll feel the pure pleasure of discovering the Arithmo world of puzzles by playing by yourself, against your friends, or competing with family
